Every product is handcrafted in small batches using plants, seeds, and oils only, with no added preservatives, no synthetics, alcohols and no chemical shortcuts. This commitment shapes everything we do, from formulation to storage to fulfilment timelines, and also your results.

What “Preservative-Free” Means

Our products are designed to be used fresh.

Because we do not add preservatives:

• Products have a shorter shelf life

• Texture and scent may vary from batch to batch

• Storage guidance matters

This is the natural behavior of plant-rich formulations — and a sign of integrity, not instability.

Shelf Life & Freshness

All AfroHairCandy products are designed to be used within 6 months from the date you receive, whether opened or unopened.

You may occasionally notice:

• Natural variations in colour

• Subtle changes in scent

• Softening or firming depending on temperature

• Oils and liquids seperate
• Oils may need to be melted before use

These are normal characteristics of fresh formulations.

Storage & Care

Each product includes specific storage guidance to help maintain freshness:

• Some products are best kept refrigerated

• Others should be stored in a cool, dry place

• Certain items should be kept away from direct sunlight

• Some formulas prefer a warm environment

Why Our Products Take Time to Ship

Fresh products cannot be rushed.

Our process includes:

• Hand made, small-batch preparation

• Natural resting and setting stages

• Careful packing by hand

Fulfilment timelines

• Off-peak: 7–10 working days

• Peak periods: up to 14 working days

Orders are processed in the order they are received. If your order is ready sooner, we always dispatch immediately.

Ingredients are sourced directly from our farm in Congo and other trusted suppliers across African, and formulations are developed through over 15 years of research by our founder personal and trials.
